Thank you all for a ROUSING SUCCESS for the 2012 Behunin Reunion.  Joe, Marilyn, Wendy and I had a great time being able to plan and coordinate the event but it was all of you that made it work so well.  Without the family attending - what a lonely job that would have been.  We would have looked pretty silly up there by ourselves!

Thank all of you that came!  And watch soon for the Behunin Reunion 2013 web page....

Checklist for what to bring. And food assignments.

Things to remember to bring.  Please check these off where applicable.

Friday Night –
·        Warm clothing.  It gets kind of chilly, even though we’re eating chili.
·        For those of you assigned to bring chili for the contest, remember to bring it.
·        Flashlight if you’re camping.
·        Musical equipment \ performance items… if you are performing.

Early Saturday -
·        If you have children: have them bring their good, but no longer used toys for the children’s toy swap-meet.
·        Children’s auction item.  Please bring an item the little ones can (will want to) bid on with their parent’s help.

Saturday afternoon -
Are you going to float down the river?
·        Do you have your own tube?  We will have 10 available for rent for two hours,  so for four hours that makes 20 rentals available but is that enough?
·        Do you need a helmet or life jacket?  The river is fairly small – but there are a few places with some drops\rocks – so kids under 10 might need supervision. They make great photo opportunities - J
·        Clothes you can get wet with, shorts\swimsuit?  Sandals or water shoes.
·        Towels and blankets.  The water tends to be cool…nice and refreshing during hot summer days but you’ll probably want to dry off right?

Be prepared for the usual water fight pranks.  Maybe you should be prepared with water guns, super soakers, water balloons etc.  The Behunin family is a prank-full bunch as I’m sure you know.  Be prepared….J

Suntan lotion.  Some Daytime events take place in the open sunny areas (three legged races for example) don’t get burned.
Bug spray… This is the mountains… I’ll bring a big sprayer to spray the grounds and keep the critters at bay.
Family portrait costumes or clothing.  If you are going to take advantage of our arranged family photo event, dress the part. These pictures will likely outlast you. Is that how you want to be remembered?  J The pictures will cost $5 or $10 and available soon afterward. Do you need to bring some cash?

Saturday evening –

·        Auction Item. The Adult or “regular auction”.  Please bring an auction item (non children items this time) as way of donation to the reunion and help pay to get next year’s reunion funded.
·        Your assigned food item for dinner. (your side dishes, deserts or other assignments are listed below)
·        Stories to share.  This will be campfire time and we love to hear your stories.  Especially true ones that relate to the family.

Saturday Evening -
Food item assignments for Saturday Dinner cookout.
We are just trying a little organization so we all don’t bring the same thing. The assignments are by family branch… within the branch, decide for yourselves who brings what.

Style

In the 80s if you wanted to show people you were "all that", you wore your

"Member's Only" jacket.

In the 90's if you were important, you had to show people that you had "No Fear".

 But now....

There's a new style for the new generation.

If you really want to show people what you're made of...

It might just take a little DNA pride.

 And a name...

 JUST.          ONE.            NAME.

BEHUNIN
